Detrimental Mother Earth

Rain is falling gently to her ground

Hitting her earth in symmetrical sound

Soon the sunlight will shine its way through

Leaving us a rainbow that they drew

Reflections from the water seem a bit tainted

Now I affront a world that I had painted

Looking for answers to what went wrong

As I ponder about her beauty that's gone

If there were a place to hide

I would be more than happy to abide

No more tears from silent cries

Where there are no sullen skies

I wonder if it could ever change

May seem crazy or a bit strange

Azure in the sky is turning gray

Hope she finds a subtle way

Just look at what we have done

There's nothing left for no one

Tomorrow's dreams have faded away

Hopefully to return another day

Detrimental mother earth

A tear falls down to you!
